Antiphon Studio

A lightweight DAW where the conversation comes first

Antiphon Studio is a songwriting environment built around a conversation with Claude. You describe the song you want (a mood, an artist you love, a tempo, a memory), and Claude drafts it part by part: chords, bass, drums, a lead, written note by note and played on the VST3 and CLAP plugins you already own, with samples from your own folders where they fit. An antiphon is a call and response, and that’s how a song gets made here.

Each part arrives as two or three options, heard in context with the rest of the loop on a private page that plays on your phone, so you can listen anywhere while the Mac renders at home. You keep one, ask for a revision (“darker”, “less busy”), or say neither. Only your explicit choices change the song. The loop grows into sections, an arrangement, and finally a mixed and mastered track, exported as audio, stems, or MIDI.

It is deliberately not prompt-to-song. There is no generated audio: every chord, note, voicing, and sound choice can be seen, questioned, and changed. Antiphon also keeps a profile of your taste, learned from your picks, with each lesson traceable to the song and decision it came from, and everything personal (your studio, samples, taste, and songs) stays on your Mac. Under the hood it is a C++ audio engine for plugin hosting and deterministic rendering, connected to Claude over MCP. It is in private beta.
